During the protests on Thursday, the police openly sided with SNS supporters for the first time. In Belgrade, they did not stop them from attacking citizens and journalists. The undefended SNS premises in Novi Sad felt the full extent of the civil anger.

Immediately after the protest in Novi Sad ended, a group of masked men used sticks and bars to smash several cars parked near the "Palčica" kindergarten on Branimira Ćosića Street. The targets were vehicles without license plates.
