The aim of KFOR's presence is to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all communities in Kosovo, in accordance with its mandate from the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999.
Secretary Blinken: We strongly condemn the actions by the Government of Kosovo that are escalating tensions in the north and increasing instability. We call on Prime Minister @albinkurti to immediately halt these violent measures and refocus on the EU-facilitated Dialogue.
In Zvecan, one of the Serb-majority municipalities in northern Kosovo, a @Kosovo_Police car has been set on fire as Kosovo Serbs rebel against Albanian mayors entering the municipality buildings following the election boycott by Belgrade-aligned structures.
