Greece has deployed three missile frigates from its naval fleet between Libya and Turkey. In an official statement, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said the ships have been positioned to intercept vessels transporting people from the Libyan coast. The press has already noted that this move by Athens coincides with the ratification of the maritime agreements signed between Libya and Turkey in 2019
