Proeurópska strana moldavskej prezidentky Maie Sanduovej smeruje k víťazstvu a novej väčšine v parlamente po kampani, ktorá bola poznačená tvrdeniami o ruskom zasahovaní. Proruský blok výrazne zaostáva.

Volebné miestnosti v Moldavsku sa zatvorili o 21:00. V krajine hlasovalo celkovo 1 327 084 občanov. Volebná účasť bola 51,90 %.

Do 9:00 hod. odovzdalo v Moldavsku svoj hlas 112 320 voličov. Z nich bolo 49,62 % žien a 50,38 % mužov. V súčasnosti sú najaktívnejšími voličmi občania vo veku 35 – 45 rokov a 46 – 55 rokov.

Moldavská ústredná volebná komisia vyradila stranu Moldova Mare z parlamentných volieb. Rozhodnutie bolo prijaté po sťažnostiach na stranu a novinárskom vyšetrovaní, ktoré poukázalo na zapojenie Ilana Šora a Moskvy do financovania aktivít tejto politickej strany.

Maia Sandu: Túto nedeľu sa Moldavsko chystá na svoje najdôležitejšie voľby. Ich výsledok rozhodne o tom, či upevníme našu demokraciu a vstúpime do EÚ, alebo či nás Rusko zatiahne späť do sivej zóny a urobí z nás regionálne riziko. O budúcnosti Moldavska musia rozhodnúť Moldavčania, nie Moskva.

This evening, Maia Sandu, the pro-EU president of Moldova, delivered an unprecedented address to the nation following today’s large-scale arrests of pro-Russian agents across the country: "In all solemnity, I have to inform you that the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and future of our country are in grave and immediate danger. The Kremlin has spent hundreds of millions in an attempt to destabilize and spread violence and fear across the Moldova. I am addressing all loyal citizens: do not permit the surrender of our country. Russia is not acting alone, they have many accomplices here in Moldova, traitors to their homeland that will sell it for a profit, as they have done before. These men don't have a country, they don't believe in Europe or in Russia, they believe in nothing but money."

Moldovan authorities have been conducting near-daily operations in recent weeks to counter Russian and fugitive oligarch Shor's interference in the September 28 parliamentary election campaign. To date, there have been more than 250 raids targeting more than 100 individuals.
